Why Not buy a Countertop game from someone who ships via UPS, FedEx, or DHL?  Here's why...

Scary isn't it?  What's even scarier is that all the boxes in those pictures were BRAND NEW before UPS got their hands on them.  Also, those games were in perfect working order before UPS messed them up.  Both of them were damaged beyond repair.

For a few that didn't survive the UPS soccer game recently, check out this link or this one

And lastly, my favorite picture.  I took this picture myself with my cellphone when the UPS truck was at my house one day.  Think about your $1,000 FRAGILE Megatouch being tossed around the way these packages were...

Now, you may think that because half of the Megatouch sellers on eBay use UPS, that it's OK to use them for Megatouch games.  IT ISN'T!   The reason they ship with UPS is because it is CONVENIENT.  The UPS hub is about 4 miles from my house.  FedEx is about 3 miles.  It's convenient.  And I drive right past them every day to the Estes hub that's 30 minutes away.  Why?  Because Estes will get the game there in one piece!  I'm not bashing FedEX, UPS, or DHL.  They are fine companies for what they do.  However, the Megatouch games cannot simply be wrapped in a few layers of bubblewrap and expect to survive the handling routine of these companies.

Estes Express' hub is about 30 minutes away.  Shipping a Megatouch generally takes about 2 hours round trip.  But I don't mind.  If I ship with Estes, I KNOW it is going to get there, and still be in as good a shape as it was when it left my hands.  If I ship with UPS, I'm lucky if it gets there working.  I shipped about 10 games in February of '04.  3 of them got damaged, 2 of those 3 were damaged beyond repair.  It was NOT because of my packaging.  It was because of UPS' poor handling of packages.  I have been using Estes for all my shipments since March of 2004.  As of this writing, it his May of 2008.  During this time, I've shipped over 600 games.  Estes has damaged 3 of those.  They have THE BEST record of any shipper I've used.

If you do not believe me, PLEASE feel free to ask me for references.  I get emails almost every week from people who bought a game from someone else who shipped it via UPS, and it arrived not working.  If you notice almost everyone else who is selling these "recommends" purchasing insurance.  Many of them flat out say that if the game is damaged in shipping, an insurance claim will have to be processed, and that the money will not be refunded by the seller.  They are saying this because THEY KNOW.  They are just too lazy to go the extra step and ship them the proper way.

Thanks for viewing, and please let me know if you have any questions/comments!
